Overview

Upper Hunza from above

Patundas is a broad pasture above the village of Passu, wedged between two great glaciers. From the top you look down on both, across to the jagged Passu Cones and up to Passu Sar, Shishpar and the Batura peaks.

The walk is short and mostly easy. The one testing section is the crossing of the Passu glacier, where our guide picks a route through the ice and uses a rope on the steeper banks. It is a good choice for active families and first-time trekkers who want a real glacier day.
