Indus River Boat Safari
Float down the mighty Indus on wooden boats for two and a half days — past nomad settlements and mustard fields, watching for the blind Indus dolphin.
Down the mighty Indus
This unique boat trip on the Indus starts from Multan, an ancient city that was a gateway for invaders to the subcontinent. Visit the octagonal tombs of Bahauddin Zakariya and Shah Rukn-e-Alam and explore the colourful bazaars, before heading to Taunsa Barrage on the banks of the Indus, where the boat safari begins.
For two and a half days you float downriver on local wooden boats through an enchanting rural landscape, stopping at nomad settlements and villages, watching for the rare blind Indus dolphin and the great numbers of water birds that winter here. Enjoy unforgettable sunsets and sleep in comfortable Mughal-style tents, while your cook prepares delicious meals every day.
